My Bethany Life - Week 18

Week 18

This week we went online due to COVID concerns.

Monday—we talked about Love Feast and rituals in other faiths, specifically the Abrahamic faiths. We also had our first quiz which I did well on.

Tuesday—we went over wedding rituals.

Wednesday—we talked about funeral and memorial services.

Thursday—we talked about ordination and creating new rituals. We also presented our final projects. My project was writing my own reflections for the Stations of the Cross. I used haibun for the reflections. We then reviewed for our exams for the next day. During the evening, my classmates and I had a study session.

Friday—I took the final exam and passed. I then met with the director of the MA programs, and I am officially earning a second MA.

Saturday—I had a meeting with National Council of Phi Beta. I then met my friends for a hike.

Sunday—I hung out with my girlfriend’s family watching Spiderman movies. I then had a Zoom session with my friends and topped off the evening with the Catholic alumni Bible study.

Overall, I believed I passed the class. I very much enjoyed it; I learned, and I want to write more rituals in the future. My next step after this class is to continue editing my version of the Stations. Then my new semester will start next week!

Prayers and thoughts are always appreciated for me as I continue my journey in higher education! Thank you for reading and have a blessed day!
