Week 23
Monday—A day of homework.
Tuesday—During Intro to Theological Reflection, we discussed creation and the theological frameworks surrounding it. We then also discussed the readings and our final project for the class.
At Preaching, Theopoetics, & Society, I preached my sermon and listened to my classmates sermons. I think I did pretty well on my sermon; my text was on the Transfiguration according to Luke. I preached on spiritual sleep and that we need to stay awake to see God’s transforming power.
Wednesday—I had a lovely call with a seminarian where we discussed poetry, theopoetics, and manga. The rest of the day was spent doing homework.
Thursday—At Theopoetics 1, we continued our discussion on Mary Oliver specifically criticism against her and also her essays. We then moved on to Christian Wiman’s work.
Friday—I did homework and hung out with the seminarians. In the evening, Phi Beta had an online social event that I attended.
Saturday—I went to Jungle Jim’s with my roommate and got some pocky there. I then proceeded to take a nap the rest of the day.
Sunday—In the morning, I went on a six-mile hike with a fellow seminarian. After that, I had meetings with Phi Beta and HNA. DND and Bible Study ended the evening, but I was on Zoom for over seven hours today.
Prayers and thoughts are always appreciated for me as I continue my journey in higher education! Thank you for reading and have a blessed day!
