My Bethany Life - Week 6

Week Six was a good time. I only had two classes as fall break started Thursday.

Monday during Conscious Financial Living, we talked about our spending and tracking our spending. While this class is teaching the basics of finances, the conversations and the evaluation of money and faith have been fruitful. Next week is the last class for this course.

After Conscious Financial Living, I drove back to Akron to celebrate my mom earning the Servant Leadership Award from Love Akron. She was presented the award Tuesday morning and even though it was so early, I was so proud of her. Also, the cinnamon and white chocolate bread was to die for. I grabbed several pieces at the end when everyone left.

Tuesday night at Applied Storytelling, we talked about marketing. My professor showed us several commercials from Coke to Nike. We had several conversations about how these companies and groups are trying to tell a story with their products, and we discussed how some of those products influenced our life-stories.

Wednesday and Thursday nothing really happened besides doing work for my work-study jobs. Although, Thursday night, I went with the Catholic Men of Action to dinner.

Friday rolled around and my father and stepmother came down to visit. We had dinner and talked in my backyard. On Saturday, we went to Yellow Springs Ohio and explored the town.

After they left, my roommate and I went and saw Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Good movie…excited for the next one.

Sunday was my chore day, but I rounded it out with a nice four-hour conversation with my roommate, Bible study, and a DND session.

I didn’t do any homework as I wanted an actual rest (a little Sabbatical if you will). Hopefully, this rest won’t bite me in the butt.

Prayers and thoughts are always appreciated for me as I continue my journey in higher education! Thank you for reading and have a blessed day!
