To summarize week nine, I prepared for my weekend intensive.
Monday was watching the last of the TV show Firefly and the movie Serenity. I honestly enjoyed watching those shows.
Tuesday, my girlfriend came and visited. I finished the last of Star Trek. That evening, I had Applied Storytelling where we presented lessons from the curriculum that went with Storytelling for Social Justice. My girlfriend and I made some awesome mac and cheese, too.
Wednesday morning, I had chapel, where my Science Fiction and Theology professor preached. He had clips from Doctor Who for his sermon. Then I started to write my paper and finished watching Black Panther. Wednesday evening, the seminaries had a bonfire, and I made a couple of smores.
Thursday morning, my girlfriend went back home. I finished my paper and then had Poetry Workshop. The rough draft of my poetry portfolio is due next week.
Friday and Saturday, I had my second class for Science Fiction and Theology. We talked about Firefly, Star Trek, and Black Panther. I came away with a lot more appreciation for Firefly and Star Trek, and I felt a little more cultured after it. I want to watch it all in full now, but when I am going to have time?
Sunday afternoon, I volunteered with the youth after their youth mass. Which was fun, I was glad I could be there.
It was a busy week, but at the same time, I felt that not much happened. The semester is starting to wrap up which makes me want to go “ahhhhh;” however, I am looking forward to next semester.
My goal right now is to work extra hard in the next couple of weeks to have a nice break in November.
Prayers and thoughts are always appreciated for me as I continue my journey in higher education! Thank you for reading and have a blessed day!
